Adding a gear loop to one or both ends of your hammock makes it easier to attach a pillow, small pack, or bag inside your hammock. Some use their gear loops to secure their top-quilt.
You can also optionally add a hand loop to the end of the gear loop. The hand loop is made of 1" webbing and can be used as a handle while repositioning yourself in your hammock, or to help pull yourself up to reach the zippers on some models.
